A country consisting of East Africa, Tanganyika on the continental side and Zanzibar on the Indian Ocean (Zanzibar Island, Pemba Island, etc.).
It borders Kenya and Uganda to the north, Rwanda, Burundi and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (formerly Zaire) to the west, Zambia, Malawi and Mozambique to the south, and the Indian Ocean to the east.
Most of the land consists of plateaus above 1000 meters above sea level, with the Great Rift Valley of Africa running in the west, with three lakes on the border: Lake Victoria, Lake Tanganyika, and Lake Malawi.
The center of the industry is agriculture, forestry and livestock farming, which accounts for 50% of the gross domestic product (GDP).
