Description for “Excellency in Kanji”
One of the honorifics. Mainly due to diplomatic rituals, it is often used as a honorific title for heads of state other than foreign monarchs (such as the president), cabinet ministers, and high-level diplomats from the ambassador to the consul. It is also used as a honorific to a noble family.
